20 Iyov (Job) got up, tore his coat, shaved his head, fell down on the ground and worshipped; 21 he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. Adonai gave; Adonai took; blessed be the name of Adonai,” 22 In all this Iyov neither committed a sin nor put blame on God. Job 1:20-21 CJB (Complete Jewish Bible).
God gives to us and we give to others, but what do we take?
For this blog I want to share a poem I wrote called Give and Take.
I give to you
But what do I take back?
I give to you
But what do I take back?
In taking back
What do you give to me?
What is your “gift” to me
When I take from you?
When I give to you
What do you take back?
When I give to you
What do you take back?
Is there some kind of exchange?
Is there anything to relate?
What are you trafficking?
Do I receive hurt for hurt?
Is it an equal exchange
Of the same value?
When I give to you
What do I take back?
When I give to you
What do you take back?
Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:7 CJB (Complete Jewish Bible).
He gave us His righteousness. What did we take?
God Bless You All!
