We are Children of God
As God’s children, we are heirs of God and joint-heirs of Christ, i.e., we are heirs of God “the supreme Divinity” (Strong’s Concordance) and heirs united with Christ as “heirs of the promise, heirs of righteousness, heirs of salvation, etc., by virtue of the death of Christ, (and) of God’s gracious promises” (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary) together with Him. As we suffer or “experience pain jointly or of the same kind” (Strong’s Concordance) together with Him, we are also glorified or “Honored; dignified; exalted to glory” (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary) together with Him. Praise be to God!
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:16-17 KJV (King James Version)
