What is the “love” that Paul talks about in Romans 8:35.
The Greek word for “love” or agape in this part of the verse means affection, but also benevolence, a love-feast or feast of charity.
Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary says “love” is “…the identification of believers with God in character [and that] Christian love, whether exercised toward the brethren, or toward men generally, is not an impulse from the feelings, it does not always run with the natural inclinations,
