“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” (KJV).
When we are in a season of being slothful, want to be let alone, or feel forsaken which are some of the definitions of the word “still” (raphah) in this scripture, there is an additional definition of “still” (raphah) which means cause to heal, physician, repair, and make whole.
Any hurt, pain, or season of despair and discouragement will bring us to a time of just being still.

This particular blog is more of a thought than of a teaching. I just finished watching a prominent TV evangelist on one of the prominent TV evangelist stations on cable TV. This program portrayed African-American children who had been through our American foster care system. These children talked about how they became adopted in their late teenage years by good adoptive parents who encouraged them to go on to college and a better life for themselves.

This scripture says, “14 When I think of all this (read Ephesian 1:1 to 3:13 NLT), I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him.
