15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 KJV.
In these two verses, having “the mind of Christ” (v. 16) gives the believer the ability to judge or to scrutinize (1) or to “examine or inspect closely and thoroughly” (2) “all things” (v. 15). As believers, we are to be “that (which) is spiritual” (v. 15) or of a higher or renovated nature (1). We are to be renovated, restored “to good condition, or revived” (2) or “transformed by the renewing of (our) minds” (Romans 12:2) where by having thus done so, having “the mind of Christ” (v. 16). As such, as believers having “the mind of Christ” we cannot be understood (1) by “no man” (v. 15) or by nothing (1) outside of “that (which) is spiritual” (v. 15).
Of course, no one “hath known” or is aware of, have knowledge, or understands (1) “the mind of Christ” (v. 16). Christ is in control and man or nobody (1) can instruct, intrust (1), or lead (2) Christ.
“But” (v. 16) as believers “we have the mind [or understanding (1)] of Christ” (v. 16) as we pray, study scripture, and as we follow Jesus’ guidance and leadership moment by moment. The believer understands “the mind of Christ” (v. 16) by revelation of His Spirit, i.e., “he who founds all his knowledge upon principles of science, and the mere light of reason, can never be a judge of the truth or falsehood of what is received by revelation” (3) a divine revelation from God.
As true believers we cannot be questioned (1), confuted (3), or proven false (2) “if” we receive true divine revelation from God (3), and carry out our revelation with “the mind of Christ” (v. 16) in our actions (1 Corinthians 14:37).
