“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31 KJV).
Read the whole of Hebrews 10, but from reading Hebrews 10:26-39, Paul speaks of those persons, having “received the knowledge of the truth,” who yet still sin willfully (v. 26). These persons or adversaries (Greek word, hupenantios, or opponent) (v. 27) think themselves worthy, yet they trod “under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing…” (v. 29).
These persons can be found unfortunately in the church.
Paul asks of the believer to “believe to the saving of the soul” and that “we are not of them who draw back unto perdition (Greek word, apoleia, or pernicious ways – having a harmful effect, especially in a gradual or subtle way).
Keep your mind stayed on Christ always!
God Bless You All!
