Judge not, but he that is spiritual judgeth all things
Only through a believer, by having the mind of Christ, can one spiritually judge all things. The believer has to be able to discern things by the Spirit of God in order to spiritually discern all things “about matters of human wisdom…(and) that must discern the real beauties of holiness.” The believer is not to judge with a jealous or envious eye, i.e., with a beam in one’s eye (Matthew 7:1-5) by looking at another’s faults, and not looking at one’s own faults. The one judging cannot be “proud and conceited in justifying themselves.” (quotes from Matthew Henry’s Commentary)
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 KJV (King James Version)
