33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:33, 35 KJV
In the now new year of 2020 we in all the world have the opportunity to have new life in this new year through”the bread of life.”
Jesus is “the bread of life” (v. 35) who “cometh down from heaven” (v. 33). Jesus, His Spirit, covenant, and testimony offers new life to all on earth (2 Corinthians 3:6 NLT). He “giveth life unto the world” (v. 33) being His invitation to a new life for the world.
The hunger and thirst of the world system is for that something unnameable, that something searched for, that something craved for life upon which people seek fulfillment. The world system provides an empty existence devoid of a fulfilling meaning of life for people. The world system cannot ever fully satisfy that something unnameable, that something searched for or that something craved for, that something sought for life for people.
Through Jesus we are satisfied of that hunger and thirst for life’s meaning, that something missing in our lives through the vitality of the life He gives us through His Gospel from heaven, “the abode of God” (a).
By receiving and believing in Christ upon which one relates to “one’s spiritual well-being to Christ” (a), one is fed by a “bread” that satiates our bodies, souls, and inner spirit to a new life in Christ. In consuming “the bread of life” (v. 35), i.e., the teachings of Jesus, we experience joy, the power of Elohim (Genesis 1:26), and the everlasting gift of eternity in the “abode of God” (a) on earth and subsequently in heaven.
We are blessed beyond measure in our consuming of the Spirit of Christ, the image of Christ, His power in us, and that new life He has made available for the whole world this year and in years to come.
