We praise you Lord for you are our strength and shield
The Lord gives to us His strength, covering, and protection as we trust wholeheartdly in Him. He never leaves us or forsakes us (Hebrews 13:5), but He helps us in our time of trouble. Thus the rejoice in our hearts from His help to us springs forth the unction to commend, applaud, give active approbation to our Lord – to sing praises unto our God. Truly His is our God, and we praise Him in the highest.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7 KJV (King James Version)
