You Shall Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
In Christ we are free from sin. We are not to mistake freedom for “a time favorable for the purpose” (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary) of “worldliness (and) selfishness” (Galatians 5:13 AMP). Through Christ we are commanded to be relatable to one another in that we are to help our “fellow beings” (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary) doing “things for their benefit” (Galatians 5:14 AMP).
13 For you, my brothers, were called to freedom; only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another 14 For the whole law [concerning human relationships] is fulfilled in one precept, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, you shall have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit].” Galatians 5:13-14 AMP (Amplified Bible)
